I owe an immense debt to Owen. We have been close friends for decades (even before My Favourite Waste of Time) and he has always been the most forthright and dedicated friend anyone could wish for. My Favourite Song sung by JJ is a response to so many of my friends who persuaded me that this song had Neil Diamond all over it. They were right and the incredible performance of JJ with this song just underlines how perceptive they were.
John Curtis the voice of nostalgia in Spain.
In the summer of 2006 whilst holidaying in Spain I was one of the candidates for a slot on the local radio. Along with John I was successful and he and I have managed to sustain that for nearly thirty years between us. Apart from his encyclopedic knowledge of pop music John has a remarkable voice and has kindly provided the vocal for one on my songs - listen here to PICK ME and John Curtis.

Ted Neeley = Superstar
Many pundits suggest that you should never meet your heroes but my meeting with Ted was awe inspiring. How can a global star be just such a wonderful human? For decades he has performed the role that he made iconic in the film Jesus Christ Superstar. His voice in conversation is soft and such that you feel you are important to him, and yet on stage it remains soaring and strong as it did many decades earlier. I will be forever a devoted fan happy to travel hundreds of miles to see him just one more time.
